At lunch time, the kids and I were just gabbing and Carlina was telling me about this boy that sits next to her and bugs her a lot. I said 'how annoying, is he!!'
but then I added 'hey, I think he likes you'
so she says 'yah, he does, he asked me out'
I tried to not looked shock and I said 'no way!! what did he say to you?'
she says it wasn't him but through one of her friends on facebook asked if she would like to go out with him.
'So, what did you say?' I asked
Carlina said that she said 'no way!'
Good girl, I thought. She's only in grade 6 and far too young to date. I said Carlina talk and hang out with your friends but this dating stuff at your age is too young. She mentioned that her friend, Cera said yes to go out with this boy in their classroom and that this is the second time they are going out. The first time they went out they didn't really hang out at all. Carlina says that Cera wanted to see if it would work out now. I said and yes sarcastically 'yah yah good idea. See if they are good together and then marriage and kids next'
She just laughed. Once again I said to her, just have fun and all the boys at that age want to do is feel you off'
Yes, going to tell it like it is. I'm happy she can talk to me about this and not feel awkward and I want to keep those lines of communication opened.
She mentioned that another boy had asked her out and I remember that one as it was when she was signing in to msn messenger and he pops up asking 'do you wanna go out?'
Good grief!!! Don't these parents talk to their kids and tell them that dating in grade 5, 6, 7, 8 and even 9!!! is too darn young.
Even took a few pictures.
Anthony is just so sweet and lets me hug and kiss him as much as I ever want.
My Bella calling on her friends after lunch but they were already knocking.
They pointed out to me this big icky spider next to my mailbox.
Then they all ran off to school.
Earlier, this morning when I went grocery shopping at the Real Canadian Superstore, I got a free frozen butter basted turkey worth 25 dollars. You had to spend 175 dollars and the turkey price was included. So that was pretty cool. Then I headed over to Staples to pick up my card I made for Stino. Tomorrow is our 14th wedding anniversary.
Here is what the card looks like
and here is the inside
I got the original picture from a CAA magazine
I took it to paintshop pro and added us instead. Stino posed for this picture but not even knowing what I wanted to do with it.
I opened up a new image sized 8.5x11
one for the outside and one for the inside
The inside writing for this type of card had to be at the top and also upside down. I saved each one as a jpeg and then sent it off to Staples and on the instructions I checked off color double side. Meaning that I only want both images on one glossy paper and each printed on a different side. Came out nice. Even Carlina made on too and she was pleased that it worked out as her card opens up vertically and I had to figure out in psp how to position the inside text.
