Two Beaches in One Day

Stino arrived from Regina Saskatchewan early this morning. He was shooting the football game out there last night.
Around noon, we started packing up to go to the beach. Just some sandwiches, munches, and drinks. Plus towels, and beach toys. We were on the road by 1pm.
So unlike, our parents who would never dream of leaving this late. Stino and I both were talking how back in the time when we were kids that we would be on the road by 7am. All so they could get some picnic tables. And oh my gosh, the food that they would take. Casseroles of this and that.
We like it simple. So, sandwiches was just perfect.

The first beach we stopped at was Winnipeg Beach. Here's Carlina and I. Wow, hard to believe she will only be 11 years old in November.

I didn't realize that Stino even took this picture until I had uploaded all the pictures to my laptop. I was glad he did as I was able to see how the back of my hair looks like lol. The night before I had rolled up 6 of those large purple velcro rollers. I left them in for a little over 1 hour. It looked better last night as I then slept on it. But I like that look and will do it again. It's probably better then use a 3/4 inch curling iron and having my hair getting damaged from the heat.
Ok, enough about my hair.

I love the sound of water crashing on the shore. I also love the sound of walking on leaves and the crunching sound they make. But with my kids around, it's not so easy to just enjoy my favorite sounds. They are the two loudest kids I know. They never EVER stop talking and screaming. I mean, I know they're kids and they are having fun but truly! they do NOT stop ever, not even to breath. So, I took off for a few minutes (maybe all of 3 minutes) to enjoy the sounds of the water crashing on the shore. Stino took this picture. When I walked back to where he was and the kids, he said "I bet you wish it was just the two of us sitting here with a glass of wine"
Oh, yes do I ever.
I do love being with my kids and do take them everywhere I go but just sometimes, I just wish for a few minutes of peace and quiet. Don't we all.

I have no ideas what type of berries these are but I do know they are not edible. Stino took this picture and I thought it looked so pretty.

I really liked the color of my hair in this one. Maybe one day I will have enough guts to color it this shade. It came out looking this shade because of the sun shining on me.

My little man, Anthony is starting to smile a lot more now when I take photos of him. This picture and the picture above were taken in the Winnipeg Beach parking lot. I made the kids for 30 seconds not say a word, as I wanted to hear the sound of the crunching leaves. Just loved it.

We were so hungry but first it was just a must to take a family photo first. Stino, placed the camera on a rock and 10 seconds later the picture was snapped.

After we ate our sandwiches, Anthony went and played in the sand. Stino and Carlina spent an hour looking for flat stones so they could throw them in the water to skip.

Stino having some fun with the kids.

Last of the pictures at Winnipeg Beach

This totem pole picture was the last photo taken at Winnipeg Beach. Love this totem pole.

Tomorrow I will post the pictures of Gimli Manitoba. Right now it's 1am and a good idea to call it a night.
What a great day and for the kids they loved the ending which was to have supper at McD's lol.
